The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and its forerunners* have, over the years, sent forth more than 477,000 young men and women who have proudly passed through the portals of higher education and have dedicated the professional knowledge acquired at the Institution to the continued development of Hong Kong.
The Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award is jointly organized by PolyU and the Federation of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Alumni Associations (FHKPUAA). Launched in late 1996, this biennial selection aims to give public recognition to the outstanding graduates of the Institution for their accomplishments in their professions and their contributions to the community.
*PolyU's forerunners include Hong Kong Government Trade School, Hong Kong Technical College, Hong Kong Polytechnic; and its constituent units: School of Professional Education and Executive Development as well as Hong Kong Community College.
