Dr Lam is currently Chairman of PolyU Council, Chairman of Hong Kong Sports Institute and Chairman of the Board of Advisors of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK). He is also Supervisor and Chairman of Incorporated Management Committee of Lam Tai Fai College, and a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Standing Committee Member of Henan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC. He was elected as a member of the Legislative Council of HKSAR from 2008 to 2016. He fervently supports various social, sports, educational and charitable activities in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.
