Ir Chan Siu-hung joined CLP Power Hong Kong in 1981, and has extensive management experience in the power and electricity industries in Mainland China and Hong Kong. He is mainly responsible for CLP's China business with projects encompassing a wide range of energy technologies from nuclear, coal-fired, hydro, wind, solar power, as well as smart energy, incremental distribution network and energy retail business. He is also a Director of CLP's Hong Kong business, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited, and over 20 subsidiary companies and affiliated companies of the CLP Group. Despite his busy schedule working and travelling between the motherland and home, Ir Chan devotes himself into various professional bodies, public posts and higher education, including serving as a member of the Election Committee for the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, a member of the 11th and 12th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, Chairman of Membership Development Committee of the Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association, a Council Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, a member of the Engineers Registration Board, an advisor of the Our Hong Kong Foundation, Vice Chairman of the China Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Council for the Promotion of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation, and a member of the "Hong Kong Coalition", etc.
