Before retired as Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr Lam was a chartered accountant and a certified public accountant with over 40 years of experiences in Hong Kong, China, Australia and the UK. He provided assurance and advisory services to the priority clients and he was involved in numerous IPO projects. He was a Fellow of the Institute of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr Lam was also a Member of the Listing Committee of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and a member of its Financial Reporting Advisory Panel, Chairman of the Hong Kong Members’ Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
On the other hand, Mr Lam has lent great support to the advancement of the medical industry and the tertiary education sector. He was a Member of the Hospital Governing Committee and Chairman of the Finance Committee of Tuen Mun Hospital, Member of the Board of Governor of the Prince Philip Dental Hospital and Member of the Faculty of Dentistry – Ethics Committee of Hong Kong University.
Mr Lam is now an Honorary Member of PolyU Court. He was Adjunct Professor of PolyU’s School of Accounting and Finance and former Treasurer and Member of PolyU’s Council. In recognition of his strong support, he was conferred a University Fellow in 2002.
