Sr Wong has made a tremendous contribution to local real estate and housing development. He participated in the formulation of regulations governing real estate agents and the sale of residential properties. Under his leadership, Henderson became the most active player in urban renewal. He is a pioneer in brown field redevelopment and wet land restoration. He is also active in turning residential units pending redevelopment into affordable temporary housing, and assisted in the implementation of the largest transitional housing project in the New Territories. Sr Wong has served in various organisations and advisory committees under the Government. He was a Member of the Departmental Advisory Committee of PolyU's Department of Building and Real Estate and received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Department.
