The OPAA has organized a series of annual signature events named "OPAA Master Class – Mentorship Programme", featuring sharing by members of the Association and a year-long activity-based mentorship programme, since the academic year 2013-2014. The objective is to provide a platform for our outstanding PolyU alumni to share their invaluable expertise and advice with PolyU students and young graduates for their professional and personal developments.
At the kick-off ceremony of mentorship programme, the Association will present certificate of completion, prizes and scholarships to mentees who participated in the previous year's programme. Scholarship recipients, mentors and mentees will be invited to share their mentorship experience. A keynote sharing by member will be arranged. An orientation will be given, followed by a small group discussion with mentors.
During the course of the mentorship programme, selected students would have the excellent opportunity to connect with and learn from prominent leaders of outstanding PolyU alumni, through different types of “shadowing activities” and face-to-face meetings, to:
On the other hand, the "OPAA Mentees’ Circle" was established in November 2014 by all the student mentees who have joined the “OPAA Master Class – Mentorship Programme” all these years. It serves as a networking platform for all the mentees for their continued personal and professional development and further connection with the members of the Association.
