Mr Wong is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of AMTD Group, a comprehensive financial institution group with services coverage worldwide. Having established a stellar career from his days as a young accounting graduate and tax assessor to becoming a partner of PwC, he has been a source of advice for the government on taxation issues. He is currently Chairman of the Advisory Board, Examination Board of CTA Qualifying Examinations, and Tax Policy Committee of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong. In 2017, his dedication to charitable causes won him the "Asia Social Caring Leadership Award" under the Social Enterprise Research Academy's Social Caring Pledge Scheme. In 2018, he led the AMTD Foundation to jointly establish with PolyU the first university-industry collaborated financial technology (FinTech) centre in Hong Kong — the AMTD FinTech Centre of PolyU Faculty of Business with the aim of transforming Hong Kong into an international and leading FinTech hub.
